Cameroon's Samuel Eto'o admits Wednesday's 2010 World Cup qualifier against Gabon is a tough proposition.
His comments come despite the Indomitable Lions beating Gabon 2-0 in Libreville on Saturday to get their first win of the final stage of the qualifiers.
"We know that the return match will be more difficult than in Libreville, but we can create lots of problems for them" he said on television in Cameroon.
The Inter Milan striker asked Cameroonian fans to be patient.
"We're playing at home and I am using this opportunity to ask all Cameroonians who come and support us to be patient.
"Just because we won 2-0 in the first leg, that doesn't mean we will win the return leg 5-0."
With coach Paul Le Guen choosing his captain on a match-by-match basis Eto'o refused to be drawn on whether he will lead the side against Gabon.
"What's important is that there's one leader. In Libreville it was me... what's key is to represent my country". properly," he said.
Arsenal's Alex Song looks set for a recall to at least the Cameroon bench after his four-match suspension for a red card he picked up against Cape Verde in September 2008.
The Indomitable Lions will be without midfielder Somen Tchoyi who has returned to his Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg after picking up an ankle injury against Gabon.
Cameroon can move to the top of Group A of the 2010 qualifiers with a win in Yaounde on Wednesday.
After three games Gabon are top of the group with 6 points while Cameroon are third with four points.
Cameroon's win in Libreville was Gabon's first defeat at home in the 2010 World Cup qualifiers.
Togo are currently second in the group with five points but have played a game more than both Cameroon and Gabon.
Morocco prop up the group with three points from their four games so far.
Only the winners of the group will advance to the World Cup in South Africa while the top three qualify for the Nations Cup in Angola.
